MULTITASKER GIRL GETS WIRED

Ray told me Sunday that Dell had updated the order to show that my laptop was shipped Saturday. It was an awesome surprise. I was hoping it would arrive by Wednesday or Friday at the latest. This morning DHL website said that they attempted delivery at 8:30ish a.m. Ahhh! I was so excited. I called DHL to see if I could pick it up, but they told me only if my last name was the same as the billing name, which was Ray, and I had an ID with the same address. =(
Ray volunteered to lave work early to pick it up for me. As early as he could leave work at the time was 5:30 p.m. (Ray has been working 10 hour days, and six day weeks.) But as an added surprise he was already home before I even left work. Home with my new toy.
He said he was waiting for me to open the box, but I gave him the go ahead to proceed without me, make sure that everything was in the box, and okay. He even set it up for me. Connected to his internet and everything. He is a sweetie!
I had to leave for school at 6:30 p.m. so I left the laptop at home charging. I was in withdrawals. Thank goodness we had a short class tonight. My instructor decided to have class in the park near school, the deal was that we had to get through our vocab before it got dark, and when it got dark we could go. For a class that usually ends at 9:45 p.m. we were all more than happy to take the deal. The class ended at 8:49 p.m.
Anyway, I'm thinking of naming my laptop. Tempted to use the name Vincent but I used that for my computer at the Shea's and I want this one to have a special name since this is the first computer that have been specifically bought for me. Not borrowed, not handed down. Well, I'll be thinking on it. G'night! |

I have a name for your new toy! Name it HAL from the computer on 2001 Space Odyssey!
(add one letter up from each in "HAL" and it spells IBM - I'm a geek!)

And you and Ching's bilingual 'blah blah blah' makes me jealous!! I was until I was 6 and my mom stopped talking to me in Filipino. I'm sad now.
