So when was the last update? Right, Wednesday. Wow! Seems like longer for me. Wednesday I stayed up until 1am trying to get caught up on my workbook assignments, and writing my Spanish composition. Had a 5 hour nap and got up at 6am to get ready for class. I had to leave early to get gas but it seemed like I was dragging. I thought I was late for class (my clock in the car reset when I had the battery changed) but I actually made it right on time. So, besides the days I missed for jury duty I still have perfect attendance. The professor gave us back our exams and I got a 99.2% I missed that .8% for spelling the word dose with a C. Ugh! The good news though is I still have a very strong A in class. Whew!
I didn't have my Technical Writing class that day so after class I drove back home for free lunch. Went to work by 2:30pm and was barely awake. By the time 11pm rolled around I was just beat. I was heading home and did an impromptu left turn to Finn's. Grabbed a drink and chatted with Greg. Apparently eventhough I've text messaged back and forth with him several times since last changing my number he never bothered to save it so he had accidentally called some guy at 3am last weekend. Nice. But I did somehow promise to see him spin for Saturday (tonight). I was advised "spinning" this time will involve CD's and not records. We'llsee how this goes. Friday was a good day. Managed to sleep in atleast a bit. Was at work by 10am for the Spanish certification class. had lunch and went straight to work and got off by 7pm.
After work I headed to Barleycorn's as I promised my friend. She was however late and so I ended up playing pool with two strange guys. Not strange weird, but strange like I didn't know them. I did see a couple friends, some use-to-be friends, and one ex-involvement. Around 10pm I met up with another friend and we headed to Green Derby to meet some more friends and see Tainted play. Over there I saw more old friends, and made new friends. (This is where it starts to seem like I know TOO MANY people.) But it was great times. We had breakfast afterwards and I got to sleep by 4am.
Woke up this morning, barely. Well, let's correct that. I woke up this afternoon, barely. Greg texted me and I believe I told him I would text him back later so I should do that soon. When I got up I only had enough time to eat some pizza and get ready. Headed to Thunderbird for the Bowl For Kid's Sake Event. That was tons of fun. I actually just got back.
Currently debating on doing some homework, or getting some much needed sleep before tonight. What is tonight? Well, as before mentioned Greg's spinning, and as well a friend's band is playing down town and of course I will have to make an appearance. So what's going on tonight is PLENTY.
Tomorrow though should be a good day of nothing. Which I am very much looking forward to. I am beat. As a matter of fact I am already tired for next week. next week is going to be a six day work week for me, and of course school with all of that. But I have to keep going. No rest for the weary. And am I ever weary.
Ryan's special request of "props" comes first because I promised. Hi, Ryan!
Actually, he should feel special because that's all I got online to do. I've got 2 chapters worth of workbook exercises I have to do plus a Spanish composition which will all be due tomorrow. Friday morning I'll be at work early for the ceritification class but should be out of work by 7pm, too. Yipee! Cannot wait!
Saturday I will be off work and bowling for Big Brothers Big Sisters. As a prize for all my hard work I might be bowling in a team of firefighters. Supposedly we didn't get enough from our department to form a team and there are 4 to 5 firemen that came in to let us know that they still have room for some bowlers. Seriously? Is there a girl out there that would protest? This is better than the T-shirt I was originally looking forward to. =D
Okay, cannot rant on tonight, must do homework. Night!
A whole lot of Sunday was spent trying to get things done for the week ahead. Tried to do a bit of homework then found out Mom was having an impromptu family dinner. Ching called me to pick her up from APL, got her, got back home, and ate some Kwan Court take out, courtesy of Mom. Not a bad way to spend the night.
Monday I had my car battery replaced. Yeah, it tried to die on me last Friday and I actually signed up for Triple A over the phone just so they would send someone to jumpstart it for me. The AAA rep told me my battery wasn't charging as much, showed me some print out we both knew I didn't understand and offered to replace my battery for twice the actual retail cost. No, thanks. The battery lasted long enough for me to get it replaced a lot more reasonably. Now I have roadside assistance again, which I think will come in handy for my upcoming drive to Memphis.
I also got some grocery shopping done. Bought some snacks for work, half of which Logan and I ate while watching cartoon when I got home. Logan has been home from school since Thursday of last week. This is actually what has kept me from posting any real blogs. Thursday after class I came back home to find Logan watching TV, I asked him to take a nap with me on the couch and we both fell asleep. It was hard having to force myself to get up and leave for work. Friday I invited him to nap in my room. Of course, he gave me grief about how messy it was but nonetheless he slept like a log. He didn't even wake up when I got up to shower. For all it's worth Logan is by far the best cuddler ever.
I had dinner with a long lost friend at OC last night which was fun. Just a little catch up on who we've tried to date since we tried to date =D He's failed more than I, but then again he's tried more than I so it evens out. I think the only down side to the evening was when he kept pointing out that I dumped him. Little phrases like, "that was a about a week after you left" and "that's why you left me" sprinkled in the conversation. To which I had no real good response to. I am ashamed.
Today I had classes and then went straight to work. I was battling a headache for most of the night but managed to trudge through it. I'm looking forward to crashing in bed, but I figured I owed some people a bit of an update. When I mentioned at work that I wasn't drunk blogging as much, it was also pointed out that I was barely blogging at all. Oops! Well, hopefully I can catch up soon. If it's any consolation nothing exciting has really happened lately. I'm looking forward to getting off work earlier than usual on Friday and having Saturday off for the Big Brothers Big Sisters event. Yay!
That's it, goodnight!

I wanted to place the link for the fundraiser back up top. We'll be bowling on the 24th, so I'll be turning in my pledge sheet soon. Please click on the link to make a pledge or contact me.
Aside from that little solicitation. I am at school already and will get to study for my oral exam before class. Shouldn't be very difficult. My class was on the edge of voting me out, supposedly because I know too much Spanish already. Well, it doesn't hurt that Visaya is very close to Spanish, and that I'm going through a Spanish certification at work the same time I'm taking the class. I really do believe I need this class, if anything I can atleast get the grammar down. Either way, after this class I have to start on my new assignment in Technical Communication. It's not due until the 20th, but it's easier to do these things while the lecture is fresh in your mind.
Valentine's Day was really sweet. Didn't get to do much since I had to work, but after work was nice. Celebrated with Patron and Lambic. Not a great combination but it still works out. Hahahahahaha! I guess that can be said about the choice of liqour and the choice of company.
Well, off to study. I do work tonight so I might not be able to blog again until tomorrow. Nat's posted a couple shots from the shoot on her MySpace and I've not been able to download and upload so stay tuned.
I've got a little over 30 minutes before my next class starts and here I am cursing out the Computer Lab for its slow connection, but putting up with it anyway. I've really got nothing to write about, I guess just trying to kill time.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
I intend on leaving with 30 minutes exactly to spare for reading what I should have read before this morning. I am a procrastinator.
I need to find a good splurge to get me out of this slump. Oh, did I not mention? I am in a slump. Ah! The ups and downs on Multitasker Girl. The good news is I believe I've found a new surge for writing. A second book may be on its way. Stay tuned.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
These computer chairs aren't even ergonomic and I feel it taking its toll on my back already. Or could it be new found better posture from last week's shoot. Hmmm... Es muy posible.
Okay, a short nonsensical post from yours truly. Bored, out of words, but not yet out of touch.
You swim like you're on fire Live like your last day Drink like it's water There's no tommorow
And you think no one can hear you Raise your hands to be called on you know all the answers You're the most colourful thing that i've seen You're the most colourful thing that i've seen You're the most colourful thing that i've seen
You dance like no-one's watching Sing 'til the song ends then you sing some more And we can hardly believe it words that flow from your mouth, Drink like its water
You're the most colourful thing that i've seen You're the most beautiful thing that i've seen You're the most colourful thing that i've seen
You are an enigma walking Make no excuses for the way that you carry on And we can hardly believe it Words that flow from your mouth Drink like its water girl Drink like its water girl
You're the most colourful thing that i've seen You're the most colourful thing that i've seen You're the most colourful thing that i've seen You are so colourful
With all my current excuses on how busy I've been I may have lead most to believe that I've done nothing but work and study all these weeks. Not true. I have allowed a lot of time to enjoy life. For example, I frequently eat lunch at my favorite places. Lately I've frequented Hana Cafe, Uptown Bistro and PF Changs. I do have a craving for some Hibachi Grill cooking but that will have to wait for another time. I've had some Me-Time with massages, getting my hair and nails done, and most recently the photo shoot. I still do go out and drink though not as often as before. That's good, though, that was part of the New Year's resolution. In the mornings when I don't have class I practice Yoga and Tai Chi before getting ready for the day.
I've also gone and watched a couple of movies in the theatres. Most recently it was The Curse of The Golden Flower. What a crazy movie. The main guy looked a little like Dad which considering how crazy he was creeped me out even more. As always I came to see the fight scenes. Tons of flying Ninjas. It was not at all a let down but I could have probably waited for the DVD release.
What I did watch on DVD that I wished I had seen in the theatres was Fearless. Supposedly Jet Li's last wushu movie. I sure hope not. Jet Li is by far one of my most favorite Martial Arts actors. And the movie kicked serious ass. I loved it. I can stand to watch that movie another hundred times.
Well, this was just a short break before I get back to studying. Tomorrow is a big day. Actually it's a big week. I'm looking forward to getting my tax return. This is probably the biggest tax return I've gotten in half a decade so I'm fairly excited. I've promised myself one splurge and the rest to go into savings. Also the Women's Fair is this weekend, so I'm hoping to be ahead on my school work before the weekend arrives. Mom and I went last year and it was a blast. No one can beat $5 massages, $10 hair cuts and a butt load of freebies.
Tomorrow is my last day off and I've got a huge "to buy" list I haven't dented yet. I need a stylus to replace the one I lost while drunk emailing in the bars. I have to buy stamps, if only to keep in my checkbook and pretend I have bills I send out. I need batteries for my digi-cam. Poor poor digi-cam. Blah, blah, blah. I expect tomorrow is going to be a long day but hopefully very productive. We'll see right?
I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I know I've heard from everyone and I'm not planning on abandoning this website, nor am I planning on abandoning friends. I've just been really busy lately, with school and work and everything in between. Actually only have a couple of minutes to update before I have to head down to work for the Spanish Certification course, (remember the ten week deal?)
So what has been up? Well, I turned in my first paper for my Technical Writing class and got a B. Boo! Considering the fact that it was a really well presented paper, I think he might have been harsh. But I should still have one of the highest scores since half the class can't speak English. Seriously, I had to revise one of my group members entire paper the other week because aside from misunderstanding the project completely, the composition in itself didn't make sense. I really hate group projects.
On a brighter note I got an A on my first Spanish composition and an A on my first Spanish quiz. Woohoo! Aside from doing the certification from the city I'm considering adding Spanish on as a minor (wouldn't hurt.) As an added bonus, should I choose to take Spanish 2 next semester, I've been told they are using the same books. Score!
I get off work at 7pm tonight because I am coming in so early so I might actually be able to go out. This of course depends on my general feeling of health and motivation. I have about 3 chapters to read for class Tuesday, so right now the only thing I can afford to be motivated on is homework. Saturday I have my much anticipated, put off several times already, photo shoot with Nat. I actually haven't even put together my outfits so that's another on the to-do.
The only to-do I'm very proud has been done is cleaning my car. Yes, peeps, it is clean. Woohoo! And I'm trying to maintain the cleanliness by using the advice Daddy gave me years ago. "Take one thing with you everytime you leave the car." So this has been anything from taking my school/work stuff in with me everytime I come home to taking coffee mugs I've used for the day in, to taking empty cups and trash out to drop in the closest trash can when I go to a gas station or get to work. It's worked great. I hope I can keep it up. Next up, keeping my closet organized. What a challenge!
Monday I have tentative plans with a long lost friend Mrs. Carly Walters to catch up and bask in her new pregnancy glow. That should be fun. Hopefully as well, that day I can finally get my windshield replaced (cross fingers).
That's about all except for a short little soliciting on my part. Please click the link below and pledge for me to bowl for Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Nothing has to be paid up front, they will send you a little reminder letter to send them the check directly and this will only happen after the actual bowling event. Our team at work has been scheduled to bowl on February 24th. I say just donate now because I do get free weekend minutes and by tomorrow I'll be calling the phone numbers on my phonebook to solicit via phone. =D
Thanks to everyone in advance for the pledges. Thanks as well, for everyone who continued to check the wesite despite my current lag in updating it. I checked the stats earlier this morning and it seems a couple of you do check in regularly every day. I feel the love.
Okay, going to scrounge up some food before I get ready. Hasta pronto!
