MULTITASKER GIRL MAKES IT ALMOST IN ONE PIECE

Monday, October 29, 2007

I will save the vaca synopsis for some other time. Right now I'm busy trying to settle back into work mode, organizing my thoughts and getting ready for the week ahead. I have the Toys for Tots event meeting this afternoon, and a paper due in Spanish I still need to type out. It'll be quite a day of trying to catch up.

The trip was a great success. I even managed to snag an Arkansas magnet to add to my collections. w00t!

Well, no more procrastinating, the sooner I get done with everything I need to do, the sooner I can upload pics and blog, blog, blog!

MULTITASKER GIRL IS ON VACA!

Saturday, October 27, 2007

Currently chillin' at Becky's while she and Wayne do the Walk for The Cure thang. I actually didn't want to hassle Wayne for his wireless connection key, thank goodness for sharing neighbors and their unsecure connections =D

Drove the whole 8 hours yesterday only stopping once for gas and no restroom break. I was on a mission. My prize was the first 3 season of The Office courtesy of Waynard. (So you can scratch that off my wish list.) I started on the first season last night already.

Today I think Becky wanted to go to an Arts and Crafts event they're having, and I'll probably beg to go shopping for a bit. I'm sure lunch and dinner is part of the plan, and then, of course, the concert at 7pm. (Somebody text and remind me to hit up the cash machine to I can get concert souvenirs.)

Well, that's it for now. Not much has happened since I got in. I'm gonna raid their pantry, take a shower and get ready. If I have energy after tonight, I will try to check back in.

MULTITASKER GIRL MAKES AN EXAMPLE

Tuesday, October 23, 2007

Finally got the chance and audacity to check out D's MySpace blog from a couple days back:

Just just like a Laffy Taffy wrapper joke - so much potential but still a waste of time. C'mon, buddy, you baited me with hopes that I was sharing in your wisdom, and then nothing. Where's the love?

MULTITASKER GIRL TRIES HARD TO STRAIGHTEN UP
Desperately trying to organize, I've grown accustomed to lugging a giant bag around for the sole purpose of carrying things I've only thought I needed. Various pages of printed information are not so neatly tucked in between pages in my planner, and I have managed to keep account of my spending in my checkbook for almost a month now (and I'm struggling to keep that up.)

These days my memory is not as sharp as I used to brag it was. I make arrangemets, write them down, and then look at what I wrote questionning it for an hour or so, only to shrug my shoulders and hope I was right. I plan to do things, remember that I wanted to do things, plan to do them later, and remember that I forgot. Make sense? In my attempt to become organized I have inadvertantly messed myself up.

Even mid-blog I remembered I wanted to email an instructor, and update my planner regarding a meeting I need to attend on the 29th and yet I'm compelled to sit here and finish this blog, lest I forget to finish it later.

I am a walking "almost" mess.

Kurt Halsey

It is sad that these days my only solace becomes a wine bar, where I can sit and pretend to be carefree for an hour or two once a week. The same habit that takes time away from the things I have carefully planned to do. Que serra serra ... for right now.

I was unable to take the 4 day weekend I was planning on but I've managed to make arrangements to not make it such a hurried one either. My schedule this week was a Monday to Friday 10am - 7pm. I've been asked not to take the entire Friday but to take the last half off. That would put me on the road by 2pm and in Memphis by 10pm. Instead, I traded shifts with a friend and on Friday I come in 8am so I can leave by 12pm. Much better. And instead of driving all day Sunday and showing up at work by 8am the next day, I traded that with another friend so I can come in at 10am. I've also been advised that on Monday we have a meeting for the Toys for Tots event at work from 12:30pm to 2pm. (I still need to talk to my lead so she knows I'll be downstairs for that time on that day, but I'm putting that off for when I feel more personable.) So I have that to look forward to. And as for my colleague's birthday Monday, since I'm not staying late Friday nor coming in early Monday, I've delegated the task to a group of coworkers that seem too happy to oblige. So work, is all taken care off.

School on the other hand, I have a lot more work to do on. The girl I thought could help me write my Spanish paper (because she is Mexican and lived in Mexico for awhile) just conjugated the verb "saber" incorrectly, so I'm ditching that plan. She still insists that she is fluent and I don't disagree, but her fluency might be limited to slang, and my instructor will definitely know something is up when I turn that paper in. Maybe Ray will be kind enough to guide me through just this one last time. I also have two projects that have needed my attention for awhile in XML, and really once I can get Spanish in order I know it won't be hard whipping up a couple pages for that class. Cross fingers.

So, a little blog to vent the frustration that I was dealing with. Not too much. I'm still happier than most, I believe. I have nothing big to complain about. Getting paid to blog, browse and IM is not a bad time to spend the day. I have time to whine about trivial things and even compiled a wish list for my upcomming birthday. (Blame the ex, he made me greedy.)

Wish list:
  • 14k Italian gold charms

  • Kurt Halsey artworks, preferably canvas prints

  • wooden music jewelry box with dancing ballerina

  • laptop bag

  • movie passes

  • The Office DVD box sets of all seasons

  • Ugly Betty DVD box sets of all seasons

  • a gas card

I have about 3 more hours of work left. I'm going to try to organize my planner, toss pages I hid in there that I no longer need, and update my checkbook with today's expenses. When I get home I plan to indulge in reruns of last night's episode of The Hills, while I do some laundry and start the packing process. Here's hoping I do not get distracted.

MULTITASKER GIRL LOVES PRESENTS
Because I can't stop talking about it and showing it off at work, I thought I'd do the same online. Behold!

I transferred my Buddha pendant over and I think I will the cross as well, though not until I find a replacement pendant. I do have to stop by the jeweler and have them make sure the Buddha is on the bracelet securely if not permanently. I don't want to lose my charms. It's the best present so far, and I hope I can add on to it and be able to have it for years to come. I'd say in 5 years I might be able to have the whole thing filled with charms, but given my impatience, it'll probably only take six months. Anyway, now everyone else can just gift me with add-ons. Remember, if you get me a charm it has to be 14k Italian gold, so it matches =D

MULTITASKER GIRL GETS AN EARLY BIRTHDAY PRESENT

Monday, October 22, 2007

From Ray. He ordered it last week, and it was supposed to be two day shipping but he kept missing the UPS people. He finally intercepted them tonight, and I get my bracelet. BIG SMILES! I have a midterm tonight that I will sail through because I got the one thing I always wanted, well, except now I need charms. Hee! hee! hee! I feel like a kid, I'm so excited! He says I can pick it up after class. Ah!

We give each other the best presents - I give him effort and patience and he gives me stuff. We always could make things work out. =D

MULTITASKER GIRL WILL BE WRONG FOR ONE DAY ONLY
I spent an entire weekend giving Ray a free pass for his birthday weekend. My would-be other half for the last 4 years celebrated a milestone, and I will be damned if I let something so trivial as us being broken up ruin his parade. No, not me. I took him out to dinner Friday night for sushi, sake and great (though sometimes awkward) conversation. We followed dinner with a trip to Oeno, so he can observe me in my natural habitat, migrated to Pumphouse to be in neutral territory, and capped the night off with some past midnight snacking at Rene's. Yummy! It was actually great times. Ray kept singing, "free pass! free pass!" the entire night. I do believe it was the best present I could have given him - a break from my vendictive and murderous side =D.

Saturday night Ray had plans to hang out with his friends, and I advised him that since his pass was still valid he was welcome to contact me anytime before 5am to drive him home. I thought he would go balls to the wall and celebrate. To the contrary, by the time he had found me outside Finn's bs'ing with new found friends, I was more intoxicated than he. But never fear, I got us to Rene's to get our chorizo and egg burritos, and then home safe and sound.

Anyway, his birthday weekend has passed and the free pass has expired. Watch out! Hahahahaha! But no drama, I know Eli was very concerned, since he was out of town and not able to run to my rescue if anything did go down. I got a check up text message from him and I was very proud to tell him everything was under control.

Of course, other things also occured for this past weekend, though none I can actually blog about. I bumped into a lot of old friends, and made a lot of new ones, not unlike the weekends prior.

I'm back at work, and my main concern this morning has been, finding time to get my tires balanced (I think a weight was knocked off,) arranging to be able to leave town this weekend, and my Spanish midterm tonight. Fun stuff!

Ready? Get set. Stress!

To correct the video, most of the contestants are not, in fact, transvestites, but transexuals. Meaning they have gone through medical alterations to change their physical appearances. Regardless, they are all beautiful. I'm proud to be from a country that is known for acceptance, tolerance, and also beauty.

MULTITASKER GIRL BARELY MAKING IT THROUGH THE DAY

Friday, October 19, 2007

I really had to convince myself to go to work this morning. I decorated my coworkers cube, blew up the balloons, which did not mesh with my hangover. Bleh!

I did a damn good job, though, if I can say so myself. I took a two hour lunch to go to a doctor's appointment, and now I'm back in my cube with this/nothing to do. Fun stuff!

Have I mentioned I took out the eyebrow piercing. I was getting sick of it. I couldn't change it to the gold ones I bought, it just wasn't healing properly. Not to mention it gets in the way during certain "positions" and that just cramps my style =D Ha, ha - joke. I better not get emails about that one.

Anyway, I'm gonna roam and visit some more.

MULTITASKER GIRL RUSHES TO BED

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

Had a pretty long day of too much nothing. Make sense? Eight hours of trying to do homework at work, and not being able to. Granted that's not what I get paid to do, but would have been a whole lot more productive than what I did do. What I did do: I sat around with another newbie, staring at the computer screen since we were slow/dead, walked around and set up some newbies' computers, cleaned my outlook folders, cleaned my cubicle, and twiddled my thumbs. Sound fun? After work I drove to Timbuktu for a quick dinner before class. Class was a slow review for the upcoming test. Drove home. Here I am.

Tomorrow I have to drop the car off at the shop again. Have another eight hours of the same thing I did today. And then some relief: a visit to Oeno.

Some good surprises for the day:

1) D told me to take a picture of "something creative" and while I was backing out of my parking spot outside Timbuktu, I found it.

2) I found something to do with my disposable friends. I am now involved in social experiments. Coming soon, "Pompous vs Pretentious." Two types of people in the same room, who will win out? Stay tuned.

MULTITASKER GIRL REACHES OUT TO DOG LOVERS
Received this email at work just now. If anyone can find room for these adorable puppies, please contact the person below. It would be such a shame to have these puppies rescued only to have them put down.

Rescued 6 black lab (mix) puppies out of the middle of the road on Saturday. PLEASE help find them homes - otherwise, it's Animal Control - which means they only have 5 days. We've bathed them, sprayed them for fleas and wormed them....but we can't keep them. They are currently in a kennel in my basement since I don't have a fence. I've lost count of the number of rescue groups that I've contacted, only to be turned down due to no room.

Please check with every dog person you know to see if they need a puppy.

contact: email this person alaclair@revereha.com

MULTITASKER GIRL IS AN EVIL GENIUS

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

Food day was a success. I actually had people thanking me for setting things up. That makes me feel good, and takes the hint of worthlessness away. The day has been going by slowly. We've run out of things to do now that the deadline has come and gone.

I guess time to tend to the rest of my life.

For example: I took my car in to Beard's 66 this morning to get my brakes looked at. It was overdue for maintenance repairs. They called and advised that my back drums needed cleaning, my front rotors needed replaced, and as well, I needed new brake pads. Parts, labor and tax came up to $249 and change. Nice price, I thought, considering they also cleaned the interior which left me feeling like I should have had to fill out a tip line on the receipt. Anyway, I discussed with them the windshield switch problem I've been living with for almost a year now. (My switch for my windshield wiper is broken and I initially called Honda who quoted me $150 for the part, and $150 for the labor. Ray got me the part for $20 to $30 bucks but Honda would not do the work with that part.) Terry (my new mechanic) advised me he could put my part in for the cost of labor. He said matter of factly, "About half an hour to an hour's worth of labor, probably about $35 - $70 dollars." Sold! I set time to drop the car back in Thursday.

By the way, my car is driving like a dream now. I didn't know I've been running the rotors in this long, it felt weird actually stopping instead of coasting when I tapped on the breaks. And no more squeeling, because you know squeeling is bad.

For those that didn't know Beard's 66 is that one and only full service gas station left in town. I was not aware they did repairs as well, but I am very glad they do.

And since work is slow I think I'll balance my checkbook, write another to-do for the rest of the day, which will include: more cleaning (I have to organize my closet), and more homework. Wednesday night I have class again after a mini in-service break, and Thursday I have plans with Kelsey to visit Oeno for a bit. Fridays are always freebies, though I believe a friend's band is playing at Flashbacks so that's a possibility. Saturday, no one knows, but I'm just another week closer to Memphis.

MULTITASKER GIRL AND A MISSING CAT
My friend Chantel is missing her cat. She lives around the El Dorado area, and most likely the cat is still in that vicinity. Any word about a found cat could be a great lead. Please keep your ears open, especially at the vets, for any cats turned in since Friday night.

I didn't want to disclose her phone number and address on the internet, because it becomes too risky, but if you have any news feel free to email me, or leave a comment on the site and I will be more than happy to forward the news along. I'm posting a bulletin on my MySpace with this picture as well. Feel free to do the same, use the same picture and just add my URL or email so that anyone that might see it will still have a contact they can go back to.

MULTITASKER GIRL ENDS THE BEGINNING OF ANOTHER WEEK

Monday, October 15, 2007

Work went by rather quickly, surprisingly. I was training someone so I had someone to keep me company during the long moments of nothing. I actually had her watch me call the mechanic shop, make arrangements for my car tomorrow, check my email, call my doctor's and make an appointment for Friday, make arrangements to miss some work Friday, makes plans for tomorrow's food day, write a to-do list and so on and so forth. I warned her that the boredom would only get worse and advised her to invest in some coloring books.

I left work, stopped by the bank, and ran errands. Bumped into Landon, who is supposed to be in California, at the Derby WalMart. I was all grungy and caught off guard at the party decoration aisle. He asked what I was up to, to which I mumbled something about National Boss' Day. He looks at my empty cart and says, "Looks like you've got lots of ideas." I hate it when people are smug at me on the same day I'm not wearing make-up. Don't be smug at me until I'm ready for you. Bleh! Well, I'm glad Landon's such a great guy, I'm sure the frumpiness was not held against me at all. He's a sweatheart.

I got home, did some ironing, and am now ready for bed. I have to get up early tomorrow to drop my car off at the mechanics by 7am, and be at work by 8am, and set up for our National Boss' Day/October Birthdays Food Day. Fun stuff. So fun I think I'll live with the guilt of not replying to D's email until tomorrow morning. If he doesn't check this site again, for all he knows, I did wait until the morning to read that email. Hee hee hee! I'm sneaky! D's been nice enough to supply me with emails to keep me occupied at work, but I always seem to catch them right before I get to bed, so he's been having to write atleast two every day. Poor guy. What he doesn't know is I'm collecting them all and compiling them into my next book: "Everything I know about life I learned from D" I've been finding little subliminal messages all along, but from his latest masterpiece he finally came clean:

Anyway, if you don't find this email's length to your satisfaction, I suggest you read more slowly, check it for grammar and spelling errors, and try reading it backwards to see if there are any subliminal messages (I hid the answer to the meaning of life in there).

I so knew it! Anyway, he supposedly might be leaving town again. I'm getting greedy and hoping this time he gets stuck somewhere with no TV so he'll have no other option but to write me tons and tons. =D

MULTITASKER GIRL BEGINS ANOTHER WEEK ... ALREADY
I finished my OT day Saturday and came home to Dad starting the work on the bookshelves. He sent Mom and I to Lowe's to get the extra parts we needed. Mom and I decided to go to Lowe's, Walmart and then Kohls. And, of course, when we couldn't find what we came there for, Mom decided to take the time to shop for other things. She walked out empty handed, but we spent 2 hours between all those stores none-the-less. Got back home, ate dinner, started laundry, and napped. I was effing tired. I apologize whole heartedly to Eli. You're probably not in love with me anymore after the stunt I pulled. So, I hope you forgive me or I'll have to find someone else to drunk dial.

BACKGROUND STORY:

Eli texts me Friday and gave me permission to drunk dial him for the weekend because he would be gone the following weekend, and I would be gone the next. I called and told me that since I was working Saturday I couldn't hang out later but I would try to come over after work Saturday, maybe eat dinner, catch a movie and then go out. He protestingly pointed out that that was a date. I revised to "You eat ramen, I'll get taco bell, we'll watch a DVD, then go out drink." So there was our plan, and of course, I flaked.

I got a text message from him sometime during Saturday night that said "You either fell asleep or died." Yeah, he knows me real well. Anyway, we'll see if I'm forgiven eventually. If not, I will slander him on cyber space.

Sunday Dad finished my bookshelves. Here's one set:

There's another set just right beside it. Almost all my books fit, actually, I was way surprised. Dad says to keep an eye on it for the next couple of days to make sure it doesn't give. That's very reassuring, huh? He also tried to charge me $150 for the materials, and $80 an hour for the labor. Really, Dad? I don't think I would have hired a programmer that cost that much to make my bookshelves for me. Especially since you did almost miss the stud. You have to hand it to him though, the bookshelves look fantabulous. I'm so very excited.

Anyway, I've been at work. Started at 7am. Fun times. I got my version of breakfast: coffee and biscotti.

I think I'm training today so I should probably end this before they get here.

MULTITASKER GIRL WORKS HARD

Saturday, October 13, 2007

Today is considered all over time hours. I've been at work for about 37 minutes now. I've accomplished so much more - I created a new post on my blog, I started to customize and order business cards, and then have changed my mind on the order of business cards (because I have no business), I've checked my email inbox 5 different times, and browsed 4 different websites. After a much needed restroom break, I think, I will want to clean out my purse, perhaps balance my checkbook, make another cup of tea, write a to-do list for the weekend, and browse some more websites. I'm hoping to do this all before lunch. After lunch I plan on doing some homework. Why do I have to do all of this at work, you ask? Well, because work wanted to pay me time-and-half to do things in my cube that I would normally do at home in front of the TV. The excuse was that they expected us to be busy today, but really I think I'm part of some controlled experiment, and am currently under observation. Like, I'm supposed to sniff out the cheese, or something. Well, I like to meet, if not exceed, expectations, so sniff the cheese I must.

Speaking of cheese, I read a book a couple years back about Hem and Haw. It was titled "Who Moved My Cheese?" It's a management book about dealing with organizational changes. I found a .jpg with some of the main points included in the book:

It's very informative and can easily be applied to everyday life. This is not a paid endorsement (though I wish it was) and I recommend it to everyone.

(Stop restroom break. Okay, much better.)

Wow, I just noticed I'm 8 minutes away from reaching my first hour at work mark. Another hour and I can go on break, because I've been working so effing hard. =D Well, if from sheer boredom I actually make a post worth blogging, then the day has not been wasted. And by "worth blogging" I don't mean anything with significance. Nothing I blog should be expected to have significance. I ramble about nothing, that's what I do, and that's the the site is for. By "worth blogging" I mean that I thought it was worth wasting minutes of your lives for. With that kind of qualification, I'm sure you've noticed, I've been very lenient.

Ah, I'm so glad I invested in buying a decent memory card for my phone and I actually burned some songs into it. Yay, Paolo Nutini! He makes me upbeat and I imagine myself doing some kind of musical walk/dance through crowds of strangers that all, of course, have to turn around with the "who is that girl, and how can I get to know her?" look, and I look at them from the corners of my eyes and just smile, which makes them more intrigued and interested. Hahahahahahahahaha! I love myself too much!

Oh, speaking of things that make me love myself, I had a dream I had a "thing" with Dane Cook. Hahahahahahahahaha! It was one of those awesome dreams, that even when you wake in the middle you can force yourself back to sleep and continue the dream. I think I did that twice before I actually had to get up to get ready for work. Now when people ask, (because they will,) "what happened between you and Dane?" I'll say, "my work tore us apart." Oh, wouldn't it be so cool, though? I think I want a Dane Cook or a John Krasinski in my life, because I need someone funny, quick witted and makes tons of facial expressions/hand gestures. Yep! I've made up my mind. That's what I need.

My two new boyfriends. They're both so equally hot. One is a wanna-be bad boy that enjoys B&E's, which I probably would enjoy too. The other has a to-do list of pranks and puts in 8 hours of flirt every day at work, which again, I probably would enjoy too. Queu song: Torn Between Two Lovers.

Speaking of old songs. The last couple of weeks, I randomly got hit by this totally awesome song and I kept thinking "Damn, I love this, I need this CD." I finally got the chance to look it up, just now during my "overtime" day, and here it is:

I know, you love it too!

Alright, here is where I try to end the post, and if necessary I'll come back, edit and add, or just start a whole new post altogether. It's time to start surfing the net again. I have to change things up to keep the excitement going.

MULTITASKER GIRL GETS OBSESSED

Tuesday, October 09, 2007

I can't concentrate on my homework, I lose my train of thought, I'm constantly checking my phone, my email... Ugh! Bleh! Maybe this is something I can sleep off. I need some kind of distraction. Wait, wasn't this my distraction to begin with. Hmmm... I'm going to have to rethink this whole thing.

MULTITASKER GIRL IS "STUCK" AT WORK
Remember the long week I was talking/blogging about. Here it is, and it's only Tuesday. I got to work at 7:20am-ish and I'll be here until 5:30pm if not past 6pm. Joy!

Last night I got home to boxes galore of Avon and Mark stuff, that was my fun times. It was like Christmas only most of the stuff weren't for me. Poop! But atleast I get money in exchange. I hope I get money in exchange. Mom has already pirated some of the jewelry, and I forgot to give her her receipt. (Probably, because she forgot to pay me.) Either way, I'll be posting pics of the ones that I have that are still not spoken for, so you can hit me up if you want to come claim/buy them.

Tonight should be a mild one for me. I've got tons of paperwork to do with the invoices I received so I'll be logging those in. I also need to do homework and junk. Ahhhh! Staying home. Feels kinda strange, but I suppose I can get through it. Besides, I need to start saving up money for my pending trip to Memphis. (Wow! I'm so sleepy I can't even get excited about it. Maybe later on in the day.)

Here's some pics from last week's Customer Service Appreciation events:

MULTITASKER GIRL GETS BUSY AGAIN

Sunday, October 07, 2007

I got home from Bonnie's sister's jewelry party about $80 poorer, and still none the happier. Sigh! Actually, most of what I bought were presents, so that takes care of some of my would be errands.

We had Mom's birthday brunch, which was a huge success. The Legends staff actually placed us in a conference room instead of the actual restaurant area, so we had all family time, and plenty of room for Eli to run around. Unfortunately, my camera died in the process and I have no time to mess with it so I stole one of Dad's pictures in the meantime.

I'm expecting the Avon shipment tomorrow so I've been printing out invoices and such. I'll have to get everything back in order, tomorrow starts a fairly long week at work. Yep, looking forward to it ending already.

MULTITASKER GIRL UP LATE/EARLY
Since I was up and out of things I can currently do, or am willing to do, I decided to blog and catch up and what I've been busy doing. First, I am THE birthday committee at work, quite fitting, since I seem to be a walking calendar of events. Last month we celebrated two of my friends' birthdays at work -

For this month, I'm organizing food day to celebrate three more birthdays, welcoming the graduating training class, and boss' day. Should be fun!

We just got done doing Customer Service Appreciation Week as well, and I got a couple pics from that. Monday, was hat day, I wore my pink Callaway hat and got a really cute picture of that but it's in the digi cam which is in my car so I'll upload later. For now: bling day and sports team day. (The second pic was taken by Jen's phone and I don't know why I'm orange.)

All that fun ends this coming week as another deadline looms. I'm back to 9 or so hour days, and overtime during the weekends. No complaints though, I seem to be upping my expenses lately. Mo money, mo problems! =D Sorry, I had to.

Besides the goings on at work there are also goings on in the family and friends frontier. The calendar went/goes as follows:

  • October 5th - Ashley's last bash in town

  • October 6th - Mom's birthday

  • October 7th - Karen's birthday

  • October 11th - Jude's birthday

  • October 27th - concert in Memphis...w00t!

  • October 30th - Ching's 30th birthday

So, you can see Mom's birthday was yesterday, and we semi-celebrated it by having lunch at Red Lobster, my treat (because I've been craving the snow crabs for months - What? two birds with one stone) and then shopping for what seemed like the entire day. Yeah, you know you're out of shape when "browsing" makes you out of breath.

My yummy snow crabs...

Today is the real celebration though. We're having brunch at Legend's, and you bet your Sunday best I'll be swimming in mimosa's. I'm sure there will be plenty of pics to go around. So stay tuned.

One of my coworkers is having her own shindig today as well so I will need to plan accordingly. See brunch is 11am - 2pm-ish on the west side, and coworkers event is 3ish in Colwich, that should give me just enough time. Cross your fingers!

BTW, lately I've been eating those individually wrapped Dove's Promises milk chocolates, and they have the cutest sayings on the inside of each wrappers. I've been treating them as addictive alternatives to those bland fortune cookies. My favorite so far..."Do what feels right."

By the way, Mr. Professional called again. I thought I'd give him another shot and since I was heading downtown told him he could join. I don't want to get into it, but he's so out. Seriously, I don't have the time or the energy to have to deal with emotionally defective people. I'm already all defective as it is. So, one down, two left at the table. I better enlist some more candidates before I'm back to zero.

MULTITASKER GIRL - I GOT PICTURES TO PROVE IT

Friday, October 05, 2007

You know what makes someones a complete douche. When they play the pity party about how messed up they are from being "picked upon" since grade school, and then look you in the eye and tell you who you're not allowed to be friends with based on his past with them. And then you stumble into a picture of him looking half baked with the same guy he thought was too much of an asshole and apparently you shouldn't be friends with that person, but they can.

For example:

MULTITASKER GIRL APOLOGIZES

Wednesday, October 03, 2007

The blogs have been fairly short and simple. Maybe an apology is in order. I don't know, you (the readers) may have gotten accustomed to the constant ups and downs, and here I've hit a plateau.

Really, I'm trying to slow things down a bit. I've taken a recent inventory of friends and am in the process of making a couple cuts. I'm overstocked, and have to liquidate to make more room. Relax, if you've been with me awhile you're far from the chopping block. I'm getting rid of the newbies, seasonals, if you will.

Other than that, my time on the computer have been stolen and transplanted on writing emails back and forth to a "potential unwanted friend". I would cut and paste the almost-novel we've accumulated just from tonight, but it would be amusing only to myself and him. Thus, an hour after having first turned the computer on, I'm ready to sleep and done typing for the night.

I hope no one feels totally left out. I hear he's leaving town for work soon, so maybe I'll be back to writing all of you through this site. Besides, it's really more enjoyable when I get replies back, and rarely do I ever hear from most of you. Statistically, I get atleast 40 unique visits a day, and I can count on one hand the people that actually let their presence known. So, quit pouting. I say we're even.

MULTITASKER GIRL SO EXCITED

I bought the ticket last week. I'm going to Memphis again to attend a concert with Becky and Waynard. It's gonna be oodles and oodles of fun, I just cannot wait. Plus, I get to see their new house, maybe visit Misty and the new baby, oh the only thing that would make it cooler is if Michelle could come too.

I'm driving again, which is my preference. I usually go the whole 8 hours only stopping twice for gas. I like the quiet, the solitude, and the extra time to just think without everyone else's noise. I used to drive almost weekly out of town when there was a flop house in Pittsburg that was available to drive to. That was only two hours away. I guess as time passed I needed to drive farther and farther out. Memphis is my new Pittsburg.

I'm so looking forward to it, I'm already getting antsy.
